Brushing the Dust Off the Keyboard

Helloooo? Anyone still there?

I've staring at the screen, feeling a bit awkward about getting back into the blogging groove after my little absence. But it is Easter, after all. Time for new beginnings. Let's get this party (re)started.

It's been awhile since we did a round of Q&A. And there are some new folks here after the interview project (hello!) who I'm sure are quite lovely people. So, is there anything you want to ask me? The floor is open for questions.

Hiya! Nice to 'see' you again. Can't think of any questions off the top of my head. I'm glad you're back, though. I hope your world is starting to knit together again, though.

Hey! I breifly stopped in before the interview project and has since received placement for a gorgeous little boy. So I have a few questions: 1) how did/do you share your children's adoption story with them? 2) how open are your adoptions and how do your children react to the birthparents (if they see them)?

I can think of a lot more, but will hold off for now and will do my best to find the time to read through your blog. Would you share your password with me?

Hi, nice to see you back! My questions: How long were your waits for Puppy and Firefly? Was the second wait easier than the first? Did you ever feel like you were getting things ready for a baby who may never show up? (We've been waiting 9 months for a match)

Hmmm... I'm sure I can come up with a question, I always have about a million...

But for now, I'm just glad you're back - you've been missed!

I'm here, always! First question... how are you? Second question... do you have a timetable for explaining the hard stuff of their stories to your kids? I'm struggling with the "when" and "how much" for a little girl with a VERY complicated story and family. Do you have a plan or are you winging it?

Hi! I did find you through the interview project and I thank you for it! I am looking at starting my own blog as I start the adoption process. What advice can you share on how to get started? What "guidelines" do most people follow with respect to sharing or not sharing certain information? I look forward to checking out some of your older posts!

Oh, I've got one! Under what circumstances, if any, would you adopt again? Glad to see you back. =)

I have a bunch of questions! But that's mainly because I'm pretty new to your blog.

First question: would you be down with shared parenting with first parents if your childrens first parents were healthy loving parents who miss their kids?

I'll try to read some old stuff and let you know if I have any others!

I'm glad I found your blog, I'm slowly making my way through your posts in my free time.

We are attempting an open adoption after foster care, which comes with some of its own unique challenges. My question is: do you know of any other bloggers that are also navigating open adoption after fostering?
