Our oldest son's birthmom chose NOT to tell her grandparents about placing Silas with us. She was going to walk away and never know him---until he was 18 days old and our adoption (private attorney) opened wide!! We now have a great relationship with her grandparents and visit 3/4 times a year, meeting them at Christmas 2002 when Silas was just 6 months old. Problem is, they STILL don't know that R's mom, their ex-daugther in law, helped her with finding us. They still think she did it all on her on and told no one. I hate keeping that part from them, but it's not our place to tell how it REALLY happened. We have to catch ourselves when the story gets re-told.
