Happy Blogger Bingo! Today's category is to find a post that is more than 4 paragraphs long that was written in June 2009... I found myself on your blog and clicked to your June archives.

This is such a moving post, count me in to those who shed tears reading it. I guess as a woman I have spent more time in my life thinking about what it would be like for a birth mother to give up her baby to be adopted and little to none thinking about the birth father's perspective. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.

My sister and brother-in-law are a few weeks into the process of waiting to be matched for domestic adoption. They have gotten one call so far (which they understand is unusual this early/quickly) letting them know they were part a birth mother's "top 9," but found out yesterday that she didn't choose them. I am so curious how she made her decision and what she was looking for in the future parents of her child.

I have been drawn to blogs about adoption blogs lately, as I want to understand more about the process (pre and post adoption) so I can be as sensative to and supportive of my sister and brother-in-law while they are on this journey to be matched with their child. Thank you again for sharing so openly and candidly.

Heather... this is a beautiful tribute to Ray, and a wonderful glance of the possibilities of openness.
